Ferrous & Non Ferrous Metal Scrap Products

1. Pure Aluminum 1100

Known for its flexibility and softness. It is often used to produce items that involve complex shaping, bending, and forming. Furthermore, it is sought out for its high ductility, resistance to corrosion, and its brilliant color.

typical usage
Foil and conductor cables

2. Aluminum 2011

This alloy grade is also known as “free machining alloy (FMA)”, and commonly used for machinery applications. This is because Alloy 2011 retains high mechanical strength.

typical usage
Intricate and complex machine parts.

3. Aluminum 3003

Alloy 3003 is the most commonly used grade. It retains a nominal amount of magnesium, which makes it up to 20% stronger than pure grade and 2011

typical usage
Cooking utensils, food containers, chemical equipment, pressure vessels, general sheet metal fabrication, hardware, tanks, and cabinets.

4. Aluminum 5052

Just like pure grade aluminum, Alloy 5052 is non-heat treatable. But in comparison, it is stronger and more durable. It also has an adequate resistance to salt water.

typical usage
Commercial and industrial marine applications

5. Aluminum 6061

Alloy 6061 is highly versatile; in fact, it is the most versatile out of all the non-heat treatable grades. It is also highly resistant to corrosion and retains terrific mechanical properties.

typical usage
Roofs, folded sheets, sidings, and acoustic ceilings.

6. Aluminum 6063

Known as an architectural alloy since it is retains high tensile properties and excellent finishing characteristics, this corrosion-resistant alloy is popular for interior and exterior architectural applications, such as architectural trim and even anodizing.

typical usage
Exterior architectural applications

7. Aluminium Sheet

Aluminum sheets can come in all shapes and sizes. They are light in weight, does not stick to a magnet or rust.

typical usage
Automobile bodies, home appliances and cookware.

8. Aluminium Wire

Aluminum insulated wire is much lighter than MCM copper but like copper it is very rigid inside the plastic jacketing making it difficult to work with. It is considered bare bright only if it is stripped of contamination.

typical usage
Electrical Wiring

9. Aluminum Extrusion

Aluminum extrusion is a process by which aluminum alloy material is forced through a die with a specific cross-sectional profile. Clean extruded scrap aluminum is the highest grade of aluminum found in a scrap metal yard. The “fluting” or ridges on it characterize it as extruded aluminum scrap.

typical usage
Window frames, doorframes, window screens

10. Aluminum Turnings

Scrap aluminum turnings are small fragments of aluminum caused from a solid piece of aluminum going through a metal lathe to create a new product during manufacturing.

typical usage
Tail ends from manufacturing

11. Cast Aluminum

Cast aluminum is 97% aluminum with small traces of zinc or magnesium in it. When broken cast aluminum will have more of a “jagged” appearance to it. When scratched, cast aluminum will be harder than die cast aluminum.

typical usage
Engine parts like transmissions, motor fans, frying pans

12. Aluminium Can / UBC

Everyone is familiar with this drinking can. There are two easy ways to identify an aluminum cans versus a metal can. If you touch a magnet to a metal can it will stick, but it will not stick to an aluminum can. Second, metal cans are much heavier than aluminum cans.

typical usage
Beverages

13. Aluminium Rim / Wheel Hub

Due to its strength and durability aluminium has long been used to create alloy wheels for vehicles. As vehicles are scrapped the wheels can then be stripped of the tyres and easily recycled. This is one of the most popular scrap aluminium categories

typical usage
Automobiles and trucks wheels

14. Copper Scraps Millberry and Non Millberry

Copper Scraps Millberry and Non Millberry.
Purity 99% (SGS Certified)
